Tokyo - Kanda Festival in May

 It is one of famous and popular festival in Tokyo continuing from Edo Period(1603-1867).

You can see dressed people in festival style with music. People carry a portable shrine in the district to cerebrate for this festival. The portable shrines constitute the most important part of the procession for the festival. This festival consists of numerous events held over an entire week but the main action usually happens over the weekend closest to 15th May. After this event, raining season will come in Japan. This is a big event before summer.

You will find several temporary food stands near the shrine or the train station in the district during the festival.
